  • Do I have to have all my windows replaced?

Absolutely not. We would only ever advise that you replace the failed units. If you have more than one failed unit and do not wish to get all failed units replaced at the same time then that is fine. We will provide you with all the information needed for you to make an informed decision.

  • What is causing my windows to become misty or have condensation?

This is when the moisture becomes trapped between the two panes of glass.

All double glazing is made of two panes of glass with a small gap in-between. To help keep the warm air in and the cold air out, the gap is filled with argon gas, creating an insulating layer of air.

Each unit has a rubber seal around the edge of the pane. It is not uncommon for this seal to fail. This allows the gas to escape and in turn causes the condensation to occur between the two panes.

In extreme instances if left then the inner space can, over time, fill with water.

  • Do I need to replace my window frame?

No! It’s only the glass that has failed and we can replace the glass, which is a much more affordable option. It is a fraction of the cost of a complete window with frame.

  • Can any size/style of window be replaced?

    Yes!

  • Why does my window let in drafts?

Faulty hinges are the main reason your windows are letting in draughts, other causes include damage to the rubber seal.

  • Will replacing my failed window unit help reduce my energy bills?

As much as up to 18% of heat is lost through windows. Replacing your failed units with an energy rating of an A+ will help reduce this.

  • Do you guarantee your work?
